Blue Mountains Waterfalls Workshop

AUD $185.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours
  • Location: Lawson, NSW

4 Hour Photo Workshop, Lawson, Blue Mountains

There is a myriad of waterfalls in the landscape of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, flowing all-year-around. The better-known, Katoomba Falls, Wentworth Falls and Leura Cascades and others in the upper mountains attract thousands of visitors every year, while the smaller, gentler, still beautiful waterfalls of the mid-mountains are less visited yet are in many ways more accessible and provide opportunities to capture some wonderful waterfall images.

This is a practical outdoor workshop where we will visit three or four waterfalls in the mid Blue Mountains. We will discuss the challenges we may face when photographing waterfalls and learn about the “right” camera settings to use, selecting the “right” lens and different composition techniques to create some beautiful images.

Level of Fitness: Moderate to good

This walk has some steep step inclines which then level out to flat walking trails. Waterfalls are in valleys and gullies so expect some steep climbs in and out.

There are rock steps on the some of the declines plus railings in difficult parts. If you have any walking difficulties or knee and hip problems this workshop would not be suitable for you.
