Let your personal creative journey begin. 

Our Creative Fundamentals of photography  package has been designed to allow  those wanting to explore the creative side of photography to help you discover the area you most resonate with. This is a cost  effective package that gives you the focus to  attend 3 creative photographic workshops listed below. You will save more than 10% on the individual workshop components.

Suitable for those of you comfortable with your camera settings and want to start exploring some of the  creative possibilities photography has to offer. Please note the Week order can alter due to the time of booking.

Week 1 Our first creative is understanding portrait photography through The Portrait Exposed Sydney Photography Workshop A powerful portrait can challenge and enlighten. Whether you’re taking portraits of family and friends, for business or for exhibition, it’s important to understand the tools and qualities that make portraiture compelling and memorable.

Week 2. Our second creative workshop is Street photography The Urban Explorer- People, cafes, vendors, street merchants, buskers, historic buildings, art installations and much more. The power of observation underpins the art of great street photography. Learning to ‘see’ interesting detail is a practiced skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer’s eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the workshop is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.

Week 3.Choose between Dusk to Dark is our new nighttime workshop which covers the understanding of the technical and practical wonders of long exposure work.  You learn how to  translate ideas and feelings into creating strong and engaging and memorable  imagery. Discover your photographic eye and style.

or The Art of Macro - Begin the journey to being a Macro and Close Up specialist.  Looking through a macro lens brings you up close to a whole new world of colours, textures and shapes.  The canvas is limitless. 

The emphasis of this workshop is on how to use your macro and close up lenses and understand the power of light and its important role in capturing and altering depth of field within a very small window of this micro world. 

If you choose Creative Fundamentals you will also get the opportunity to join us for one of our  In Focus continuing education monthly sessions free of charge, held on the first Monday of each month.

Course Format:

TUTORS: A professional photographer and a photographer's assistant (subject to group size).

CLASS SIZE: Minimum 4 / Maximum 10

DAY OF OPERATION: See schedule on the website.

TIME: 8 am to 12 pm  Street and Macro

           6pm to 9pm Dusk to Dark

           8am to 1pm Portrait Exposed

 Please arrive 15 minutes before each workshop to

ensure we start on time

LOCATIONS: All our locations are centrally located within the CBD. If there is a change we will contact you in plenty of time to discuss.
